We discovered a great tutorial by Craft Passion that will show you how to make super cute sock bunnies! This technique may take a little bit of practice, if so – choose some old socks that you no longer use. This way, you won’t feel that you have been wasteful if you made a mistake.
Here are some more tips and suggestions to help you with this DIY project!
1. Do this project in adequate lighting. To avoid mishaps, keep small kids away from your work area and don’t force yourself to work on this project if you feel tired or sleepy. If you do plan to make a batch of these bunnies, try to start this project ahead of time so that you won’t feel too pressured.
2. You can make mini sock bunnies by using children’s socks. These bunnies are great to use for bag charms or cellphone charms.
3. These sock bunnies are also great to use as party favors for baby showers and birthdays for small kids. You can also include other goodies and put them in small paper bags.
4. Use rhinestones or crystals and jazz up your sock bunnies with them. You can use a fabric glue for this. You can even make a heart pattern if you want to give a bunny to someone on valentines day.
5. You can also use these bunnies to decorate your easter centerpiece table! Get a big glass container and put a smaller glass in the middle. Fill it with water and add fresh cut flowers. Fill in the space between the big container and the small container with pastel colored candies. Place it in the middle of the table (If your table is longer, add a few more). Add more decor by placing sock bunnies, bigger egg shaped candies and pastel colored confetti.
