Recycle Plastic Bottles & Make Super Cute Apple Shaped Boxes! – Image To Repin / Share

It’s always a good idea to make use of things that we would usually consider as trash. Old magazines and newspapers can be used in a lot of creative crafts projects. Some broken furnitures, DVD’s and other knick-knacks can also be turned into something new and useful!
We found this really awesome tutorial by Creative Jewish that will turn plastic bottles into interesting apple shaped gift boxes! The link follows after our comments and suggestions…
Comments/Suggestions:
1. These apple shaped boxes are also great for teacher appreciation day. Wrap your gifts with red fabric, place them inside each box. With a small piece of yellow felt paper, cut it into a rectangular shape and then set this aside. Get a small piece of green felt paper and then cut it into a rectangular shape, making sure that it’s smaller than the yellow one. The yellow felt will serve as the border and the green one will serve as the chalkboard. Glue the back of the green felt paper and stick it in the middle of the yellow felt paper. Once the glue has dried, use a white marker to write the name of your teacher. Punch a hole on the corner of your tiny “chalkboard” and attach it to the top of your apple.
2. Bejewelled apples – If you have the time and the patience, you can make red paper beads and stick them on the plastic bottle to create a 3D effect. You can also try a caramel apple box! Once you’re done coating the bottle with red paper beads, try to coat the lower half in caramel colored beads! You can even add sprinkles! Look at yummy pictures of caramel apples for reference. Fill the box with caramel and apple flavored sweets! You can also use this apple box as a part of your room decor.
*Try using green paper beads if you want green apples instead of red ones!
3. Fun Activity For Kids – Use this pretty box as prizes for kids’ games. You can also make them guess what’s inside the boxes.
